American College of Veterinary Internal Medicine, Small Animal Internal Medicine
Dr. Christina Marino is a Colorado native who received her veterinary medical degree from The Ohio State University in 2008. She completed postdoctoral internship and residency training at North Carolina State University and the University of Pennsylvania, respectively. Completing the rigorous requirements and examinations, she is a board-certified small animal internal medicine specialist. She is certified in dialysis for companion animals and has many years training in ultrasound technique. After working in a large, busy, specialty practice, she decided to start her own business, Small Animal Veterinary Specialists, to bring internal medicine consultations and diagnostics to the local practices. This allows the owners to stay in a familiar environment and allows for a true team approach to the patient at hand.
Her interests include, but are not limited to, feline medicine, kidney disease, and autoimmune diseases. Though she loves internal medicine, she also has a passion for emergency medicine and surgery.
When she is not practicing veterinary medicine, she is spending time with her husband (also a veterinarian) and 3 cats. She enjoys working with the children’s ministry at her local church, as well as kayaking, traveling, and being an avid Buckeye fan.
