Dr. Perone earned her bachelor’s degree in neuroscience and behavior from Barnard College at Columbia University in 2001 and went on to receive her veterinary degree from the University of Pennsylvania School of Veterinary Medicine in 2005. After completing her internship in surgery, internal medicine, and emergency/critical care at Fifth Avenue Veterinary Specialists in New York City, she moved to back to the Philadelphia area.  She is a Fear Free certified practitioner, is certified in physical rehabilitation and massage therapy, and has extensive acupuncture training. Her goal as a veterinarian is to provide minimally stressful appointments through gentle patient handling and clear, empathetic client communication.

Colleen is a Roxborough native and started volunteering at Liberty Veterinary Clinic in 2016, ultimately working her way up to a technician position. In 2019, Colleen earned her bachelor of science from the Pennsylvania State University with a major in veterinary and biomedical sciences and a minor in animal science. She currently attends the University of Pennsylvania School of Veterinary Medicine and is expected to earn her VMD in 2025. In her free time, Colleen enjoys spending time with her family, friends, and her mixed-breed rescue dog, Shady

Josie grew up in the Fairmount section of Philadelphia and moved to Roxborough in 2008. She started as a volunteer in veterinary technician school and has worked her way up to the practice manager. You may find her milking cows on the weekend at her alma mater, W.B. Saul high school. She shares her home with Rusty, the Standard Poodle, Sancha, the Goldendoodle, Tiki, the Leopard Tortoise and Nui and Clubber the Uromastyx’. Go 76ers!

Janelle The Liberty Vet Clinic

Janelle comes to Liberty vet clinic with almost 20 years of experience as a veterinary technician. She has gained extensive knowledge in general practice, emergency care, critical care, and has managed multiple veterinary hospitals. Some of her interests include breeding, whelping, and showing dogs. She has had the opportunity to work with both NFL and NBA clients!  Janelle shares her home with her son, 5 dogs, and a rotating crew of foster dogs. She enjoys spending time volunteering with her therapy dog, Norah, at a local nursing home.

Anna was born and raised in Salem County, New Jersey. Her love of animals combined with her 10+ years of customer service experience led her to the front desk of Liberty Veterinary Clinic. In her spare time you can find her cooking or going on adventures with her husband Scott and two sons, Jackson and Mason. And let’s not forget the true king and queen of the household, Stella, the Bulldog and Blaze, the Boston Terrier.

Jackie was born and raised in Philly. She realized her passion for working with animals when she started volunteering at a greyhound rescue in 2014. She loves all animals but holds a special place in her heart for senior dogs, especially her own. When not at work you can find her at home reading way too many books, cooking, and hanging out with her husband Nick, her dog Charlie, and her cat Oliver.

Jordan was born and raised in West Philly. Growing up with a huge variety of household pets, he knew very early on that he wanted to be in the veterinary field. Jordan has experience in emergency, critical care, specialty surgery, shelter and exotic animal medicine. He is also a certified fear-free technician. His favorite aspect of practicing is client education, as more education produces better outcomes for the pets. During his free time, he loves to spend time in nature hiking and also tending to his large collection of house plants. He shares his home with his herd: Beanie the French bulldog, Gene the Cane Corso, Black the domestic shorthair, Beige the Siamese, Cali the Persian, Chuckles the Umbrella Cockatoo, and also a revolving door of French Bull Dog fosters.

Sarah grew up in Harrisburg and moved to Philly in 2015 when she started attending Temple University. After receiving her bachelor’s in media studies and production, she realized her true passion was to work with animals. She currently attends St. George’s University in Grenada, West Indies, where she is studying to become a veterinarian. Sarah lives in Grenada during the school year, but on her school breaks she comes back to Liberty Veterinary Clinic, where she loves working and getting to see all the pets. She shares her home with Dexter, the Chihuahua mix, Deuce, the Miniature Pinscher mix, and Loki, the cat

Nina Liberty vet clinic

Nina has been an advocate for animals since she was a child. She has volunteered at local shelters in Philadelphia helping cats, dogs, and even reptiles. That encouraged her to apply for a position in which she would be able to get hands-on experience helping animals and doing what she loves best! Nina and her beautiful 9-year-old daughter share a home with all of her rescues, Milo, Stitch,  and her pet tarantula Freddie.
